A visit to a Pumpkin Patch...

This past Saturday the whole family headed to a nearby pumpkin patch to participate in the activities and have some fun.

They had a wide variety of fun things to do including a playground surrounded by bales, a small petting zoo, "punkin' chunkin'", a corn maze, barrel rides, a tractor driven hayride, and a horse drawn hayride. The kids had a blast. And though it looks bright and sunny in the pictures, it was actually freezing outside on Saturday, so the kids had to be rather bundled up the entire time.

Here, Brendan rides one of the little tractors inside the "play area"...
While Halle plays with a ball...

Brendan - our little farmer!

Time to do some "punkin' chunkin'"! All you need is a big, oversized sling-shot and a chunk of pumpkin - pull the sling-shot back, put the pumkin in, let it go, and watch the pumpkin fly into the woods!
Pull it back as far as you can, Brendan! The kids on a barrel ride...
Momma and Halle on the hayride...
Halle almost fell asleep while we were bumping through the fields...

Next up: Halloween pictures and HOPEFULLY some new baby pics (if she ever decides to arrive, that is!) :)

Carving pumpkins...

This past Saturday Daddy and Brendan carved pumpkins!

Here Brendan helps Cary remove the "pumpkin seeds and gooey stuff"...

The finished product - a bat and a witch's face...

Fall fun in the sun!

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids playing outside on one of the gorgeous days we had this fall...

Long overdue update...

It's been far too long since I've updated this website - so this update contains pictures from several different events starting back the first weekend August...

On August 3rd, 4th, 5th my Grandma Margie and Grandpa Bill made the trip to our house to see all of us. It was a great time!

Brendan looking cute by the firepit...On August 9th, Cary took the kids to their first circus in Montevideo, MN. I stayed home and worked so as to save my vacation for after the new baby comes.

Here, Halle rides a pony at the circus...
While Brendan rides an elephant! They had a great time! Then on August 19th the whole family went to a tractor show near Itasca State Park. Here are a couple of pics of the kids while we were there...

Finally, on September 22nd we headed to Smokey Hills Resort to go on a horse-drawn wagon ride through the forest to see the changing leaves. Here are Brendan and I (I know, I look ENORMOUS!) sitting on the wagon waiting for our ride...
And here are daddy and Halle...

The kids having a great time...
Some of the trees we saw while on the ride - they were GORGEOUS!

After the ride, we stopped by the playground to play and take a few pictures...

Next up: Other fall fun!

33 Weeks!

7 weeks to go! Check out my big belly!

Brendan's 1st Day of Preschool

September 4th marked Brendan's first day going to preschool! He was so excited!

Walking into the school - backpack on and ready to go...
In front of the sign...
Once inside he settled in right away and began playing with some playdoh...
Starting with his very first day, he's LOVED going to school. They have lessons everyday, and he brings home a project or two each evening. And to add to the fun, he rides a bus to and from school every day, which he finds pretty cool! It's a great experience for him!

Brendan's Big Adventure!

August 11th: Grandma Carol, Brendan and Cameron head west to begin their big adventure...

After hours of driving they crossed the border into....Montana!!
They camped all along the way...

And most of the campgrounds even had swimming pools!

They saw beautiful scenery...

And had SO MUCH FUN!

They saw bears...They sat on benches...
They "rode" buffalo...
They stood near crazy fallen trees...
They visited a dam...
And they went to Wyoming!

They also went to Yellowstone National Park, went whitewater rafting, visited Devils Tower, and much, much more! It was an amazing trip for Brendan and one he will never forget!
